Wisdom Tooth Pain

If you are between the ages of 16 and 25 it is common to complain of wisdom teeth toothaches. It usually occurs when the wisdom tooth is trying to “poke through” the gums which may cause some of the following symptoms:

  • swelling of the gums
  • tenderness of the jaw
  • pain on touch of the area affected
  • pain on opening and/or closing of the mouth
  • bad breath
  • bad taste

This condition requires immediate care, since it may result in swelling of the face, leading to serious complications. In most cases, a prescription mouth rinse coupled with other medications could be the solutions. Please call us as soon as possible for an evaluation of your condition.
